How do we mind our minds? What does it mean to be a mindful mom? This 2021, Mommy Mundo has endeavored to answer these questions. Each month, mindfulness was focused on a theme that sprung from the Into the Mom Mind survey conducted in March of 2021. Bringing all of the year’s learning and discoveries together is Expo Mom 2021: Mindful Mom on November 12, 13, and 14, 2021
Remote learning reminded us parents, that we have an invaluable role in the education of our children. For many years, a lot of us turned over the role of educating our children to schools. With the remote learning set-up, we suddenly have to step-up. All of a sudden, your home is now the school. Yes, it was a lot of responsibility but we made it!
Expo Mom 2021: Meaningful Connections, Mommy Mundo’s second Expo Mom of the year, was held on August 14-15, 2021 online via Facebook Live. The event was watched by about 13,000 moms and dads from all over the Philippines, and parts of Europe and America. For two days, Mommy Mundo delivered insightful talks, panel discussions, and mini-seminars all geared towards their monthly theme of helping moms Mind Your Mind and use technology to develop and nurture meaningful connections.
Mommy Mundo’s Into the Mom Mind Survey takes a peek on mom’s view on tech. And it turns out that moms are more tech savvy than ever! Moms spend anywhere from 2-7 hours a day on the average on their laptop or phones. And 77% of respondents say that digital entertainment (whether games or movie night) has become part of their family bonding.
How do we make meaningful connections in this age of technology, distancing, and new ways of thinking that challenge the norm? This is what Expo Mom hopes to focus on this August 14-15, in its trademark two-day conference happening for FREE on our Facebook page.
This June marks the second month of Mommy Mundo’s #MindYourMind campaign. We put focus on an important need of the ever-so-busy mommy mind– that during hectic days we seize moments to take a pause, take a deep breath and relax, and #BePresent for whatever is going on.
Mommy Mundo’s year-long campaign, Mind Your Mind, helps us slow down by asking us to pause, which gives us a chance to reflect and process everything that is going on in our lives. This month, we are looking at shopping, consumption, and the feelings that influence our consumption habits and decisions. It follows the Mind Your Mind’s theme this second quarter of 2021: Feelings.
It is no secret that moms have a lot on their minds at all times. Many a meme has been created on how moms have to multi-think while they multi-task, and it leads to the ever famous mom brain. That’s why it is important for moms to be able to recognise this, to stop, reflect, and learn how to mind their minds.
