With Pregnancy & Beyond 2018 kicking off its second leg at Makati Medical Center last July 21, 2018, moms attended talks about Pre-Natal Checkups & Pregnancy FAQs, Right Nutrition for Mommy and Baby, and Breastfeeding 101. Through the series, Makati Medical Center hopes to help new parents build confidence about the exciting journey they have ahead.
Prepping Confident Moms-to-Be
Dr. Katrina R. Tan gave essential information about pre-natal checkups and frequently-asked questions on pregnancy. It was a session of enlightenment and relief as Dr. Tan helped moms map out their own pregnancy care roadmap.
Nutrition for Two
While pregnant, moms eat for two. After giving birth, moms still eat for two. A nutritious diet will give the baby nutrients that will promote his or her growth and health. Dr. Annebelle D. Aherrera talked about the Right Nutrition for Mommy and Baby, passing on information that will really help mom eat well and stay healthy.
Breastfeeding 101
Once baby is out, precious breastmilk will be his or her primary source of nutrition. Breastfeeding will have its successes and challenges. Dr. Teresa Maria T. Ribaño helped prepare moms for what’s ahead with a talk entitled Breastfeeding 101.
