What qualities makes moms natural entrepreneurs?
Moms are great at multi-tasking and balancing lots of things at the same time. They are natural at nurturing others and make great employers. They don’t mind doing all the dirty work – literally and figuratively.
Are there enterprises more suitable for moms?
It isn’t about the industry or enterprise fitting the mom; it’s about the mom being able to blend her passion and strengths with a source of income – if all those come together well, she can enter any type of business.
What challenges should potential mompreneurs prepare themselves for?
Making sure their business stays relevant and competitive. With so many small businesses opening, mompreneurs must ensure that they constantly review their business model and keep it current.
What is the worst thing that she can do for her startup business?
Be complacent. Just because a business is doing well today doesn’t mean it will do well tomorrow. Staying on your toes and studying your market on a continuing basis helps to ensure that a business continues to grow.
What can participants expect this Saturday?
It’s a workshop, which means they will do more of the talking through hands on exercises and activities. They can expect to apply a practical tool that will help them review their current business model and give them a new perspective for how they can continue to enhance their business. They can expect to learn from other mompreneurs who will be able to give them fresh perspectives through our group activities.
Workshop fee is P800 inclusive of handouts and snack but for active Mompreneur Manila mompreneurs and holders of the Mommy Mundo passport, registration fee is waived. Register now by texting 09176272425 or register online by clicking here.
Mompreneur Manila would like to thank its valued sponsors, BPI Ka-Negosyo, Epson, and Welch’s for making this event possible and for supporting its advocacy for mom entrepreneurship.
