You can tell a lot about a person by the way he moves. Whether he’s confident or insecure, happy or sad, content or confused, a person sends out subtle cues which could reveal the state of his thoughts and emotions. Gain a deeper understanding of how your body moves, and how you can use it to fulfill your life’s purpose through the Bothmer Movement Workshop. There are two scheduled workshops: a full day introductory session on March 28, 2015, followed by a six-day intensive workshop from April 6 to 11, 2015 at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City. There is also a workshop slated in Cebu on March 30 to 31, 2015.
Through the Bothmer Movement Workshop, a person will gain a deeper understanding of how his body moves and how he can use his body in relation to his well-being and purpose. The lessons may be applied in a variety of ways: maximize performance in sports, support one’s children in their learning process, communicate messages through movement, and help loved ones suffering from illnesses that limit body movement, among other practical applications.
The workshop is brought to the Philippines by Bothmer Movement International and Shaping Sophia, Inc. Martin Baker, founding director of Bothmer Movement International, will facilitate the workshops. Baker has a degree in Physical Education from Nottingham University, United Kingdom. He has been teaching for 40 years, 30 of which were spent in Waldorf Schools.
The workshops are best suited for teachers, special education practitioners, physical education and sports professionals, and medical professionals as well as those in the fields of business, arts, engineering, information technology, and physical therapy.
