From the moment they discover they are pregnant until their child has graduated from college (or even beyond that), moms are doing doing doing! That’s why moms need all the help and support they can find, and a little help from technology too! Here is a list of Mommy Mundo’s favourite apps for moms!
1. Kinder
Available both on the Apple App Store and on Google Play, Kinder works… well it works like Tinder! Perfect for couples that just discovered they’re expecting, moms and dads create separate lists of baby names for their baby. Then, they can look at a full list of names, not knowing which among the list their partner chose. They then swipe right or left, and when there is a match the app will tell you!
A fun and fight free way to know which names you both like or agree on, Kinder is an easy way to choose and remember all the names you’re considering, and maybe find some new namespiration too!
2. Glow Baby
A fantastic app for new moms and dads, Glow Baby helps parents track their child’s milk intake, number of dirty diapers, milestones, activities, medication (if needed), appointments, and more! A fun community is growing on Glow with moms that share stories, recommend articles, and share photos. It’s a great source of information and assurance for moms, and conveniently right in your phone!
3. Baby2Body
They say over one million women have downloaded and used it, and there are definitely a lot of great reviews; Baby2Body helps moms-to-be and moms stay healthy throughout pregnancy, post-pregnancy and breastfeeding, and motherhood by giving mothers healthy and stage-appropriate exercises for their bodies. There are healthy recipe suggestions too, which can make it easier for newbie moms to know what to eat and be comforted with a new and healthy-for-baby diet and exercise routine.
4. Cozi
Moms, the Cozi app has heard your cries and it has responded! A family organizing app, with reminders for to do lists, grocery lists, children’s requirements lists; a scheduler for who has to do what when, and the deadlines for this school or that club, it’s essentially a family control room in an app. Every family member can get on the app and add their own needs, deadlines, and schedules, keeping the entire family on the same page and abreast by what everyone else is doing. Add the fact that you can meal plan within the app, and you’ve definitely got yourself a winner!
5. Canva
Perhaps the only computer-app we’ll be recommending on this list, Canva is a must have for all moms. Apart from the fact that it can be used for work, it is also a great app for creating birthday party invites, posters for kids projects, family photo books or scrapbooks, or just to release some creativity!
6. Calm
Not specifically a mom app or a baby app, but a great app for moms just the same, Calm helps with both meditation and sleep. And if there is one thing that we know almost every mom needs more of, it’s sleep! Plus it doesn’t hurt to have a little help achieving some zen too. Studies have shown that daily meditation can reduce stress, improve focus, reduce memory loss, decreases blood pressure, and just promotes overall health and wellness. Really, you can’t go wrong!
