Mommy Mundo Enters Singapore Mom Market

Mommy Mundo, the community of modern moms who believe in active and progressive parenting in the Philippines, recently made a bid for the Singapore mommy market with the launch of its website, mommymundo.sg., at the Children, Baby, and Maternity Expo (CBME) Southeast Asia at Suntec City Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Mommy Mundo Founder Janice Villanueva says, “It has always been our dream to bring a homegrown Filipino brand to Asia and other parts of the world. By reaching out to our fellow moms in Singapore, we are strengthening our commitment to addressing the needs of modern motherhood and our advocacy for mindful parenting. Modern Singaporean moms will find our site and services relevant and useful to their everyday lives.”

Mommy Mundo is committed to being present at every stage of a mom’s journey. Through its portal, it hopes to educate, inspire, and empower moms. Apart from providing a resource of timely and relevant tips and techniques to modern moms, Mommy Mundo also gives much needed support through its various activities and a sense of camaraderie through its community. It will also be providing a variety of practical mommy solutions to Singaporean moms in the future.

Mommy Mundo organized the very first Philippine delegation to CBME, where it is the sole Philippine exhibitor. It spearheaded a group comprised of Filipino mompreneurs hoping to explore business opportunities in the growing Asian market. CBME is one of the largest gatherings of distributors and manufacturers of regional and international brands. A one-stop trade event for new brands and products, CBME Southeast Asia featured some 60 exhibitors from Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, and Vietnam.

“Mommy Mundo has always been supportive of mompreneurs. We were among the first to recognize the strength, creativity, and resourcefulness of mompreneurs. In fact our flagship annual event, Expo Mom has also become well known as ‘The Mompreneur Market.’ We have since facilitated events and workshops answering the unique concerns of active moms who are also active businesswomen,” says Villanueva.

“With the launch of our Singapore website, Filipino mompreneurs will have the opportunity to reach out to more mothers in Asia through our Mommy Mundo e-marketplace,” she adds.
