I just got to try these great products from VMV and just need to share these discoveries with you.  I’d see these really nice-looking products specially made for moms and babies in VMV stores and counters. I’d admire the packaging and product design– they would remind me of the classic Winnie the Pooh illustrations- light colors, quaint images and fine fonts give it all a vintage-y look.  I just love how they products look and they are named just as charmingly:  Kid Gloves Sanitizer, Mommycoddling All-Over Lotion, Coo and Clean Baby Wash, Oil’s Well Nurturing Do-it-Oil and The Big Brave Boo-Boo Balm.    

Finally, i got to try two of Grandma Minnie’s products, Kid Gloves Sanitizer and my current fave, Grandma Minnie’s Big Brave Boo-boo Balm. Both products (and actually the entire Grandma Minnie line) is made of all natural ingredients. It contains USDA-Certified Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, with antioxidant Green Tea and also contains Monolaurin.  I googled “monolaurin” and found that monolaurin is extracted from coconut oil and is known to have antibacterial, anti-viral and antifungal properties. This little Boo-boo Balm jar contains a petroleum-like balm really comes in handy for itchy rashes, small wounds, cuts, eczema, etc.          

Kid Gloves Sanitizer is fascinating because when you say “sanitizer”, I always think of a clear solution. This one however is brown like a syrup so it is a bit disorienting at first, but then just smelling it and I know it’s something pure and clean.  The bottle says it can be used to clean baby’s hands and feet.  I think this would    be handy to keep around the nursery specially when you expect visitors to come who will carry and cuddle baby.  Ask them to pump some KidGloves into their hand before they touch baby and I’m sure they won’t be insulted because the product is just wonderful.  It’s super light and not greasy at all. It is practically unscented upon application (which is great because I’m not into those super fruity scents of imported hand sanitizers).
