Mommy Mundo’s founder Ms. Janice Villanueva celebrated her birthday by doing what she loves doing mindfully and intentionally, self-care through fitness and wellness activities. Last October 28, she was joined by fitness enthusiast momfluencers Marie Field Faith, Leona Panutat, Mia Sison, Iam Serrano, Denise Gonzales, and Michelle Lim for a full day of energy-building and muscle-toning workout sessions which ended with a relaxing activity. The Mommy Mundo Wellness treat was in partnership with Fit Moms Project and The Podium Mall.
Mommy Mundo Wellness Day is a celebration not only of Janice’s birthday but also of every mother’s mindfulness in loving oneself through getting fit, eating healthy, and relaxation. These three activities go hand in hand in making a mother’s physical, mental, and emotional conditions at the pink of health. This way, a mother’s love cup becomes always full that she may be able to pour out love from the same cup to her family. This is why Mommy Mundo gives intentional importance to wellness.
Geared in their fab-looking workout attires, moms started their day with a Spin Session at Electric Studio. They had a fun yet exhausting 45-minute cycling moves, spinning their way to achieving toned lower body such as hamstrings, glutes, calves, quadriceps and back muscles. If done regularly, it can burn calories, strengthen the core, enhance mental performance and give a good cardiovascular exercise, among others. Moms need to be both physically and mentally fit to be able to take care of their children and their household. The spinning session was just the jumpstart of their day, yet because of too much action, it drained the moms of their energies and made everyone hungry.
Janice anticipated this that’s why following their spinning session, the moms were led to Cafe Mediterranean where they had a healthy lunch to satisfy their cravings for a delectable meal. Fruit shakes, salads, kebabs, pita bread, and other delicious and mouth-watering food were graced on their tables. Before their lunch break ended, the moms surprised Janice with a birthday cake and gave their good wishes.
After resting from their sumptuous meals, two more 30-minute workouts took place. The next workout was Barre3 held at The Spa’s Barre 3 Studio. This workout has a unique sequence where every second count for fast body-shaping results, improved core strength, and long-term postural benefits. The Barre involves the use of barre, mats, dumbells, and fit balls. The Spa in Podium offers Barre 3 classes and the mom participants experienced how this workout could help achieve a balanced body empowered from within. It is low impact, strength building, and mind centering – qualities which every mother should possess in mindfully caring for their children.
The last 30-minute workout session was spent doing Hot Yoga at Yoga+. Momfluencers had a joyful exclamation of Namaste with the Yoga experience they had in a hot and humid environment. They also got acquainted with Aerial Yoga where traditional yoga poses, Pilates, and dance with the use of a hammock were involved. Some of the moms in the group experienced it for the first time and they were sure glad they did it.
The Mommy Mundo Wellness Day culminated with a relaxing Executive Massage at the newest branch of The Spa in The Podium Mall, to speed up muscle recovery, decrease inflammation should there be any, and improve blood flow. Plus having a regular massage is also good in reducing stress and anxiety to improve one’s overall mood. Moms should see to it that at least an hour of massage becomes part of their self-care day.
The day didn’t end just like that.
