Today’s generation is become more and more mobile, both in the figurative and literal sense. Due to today’s fast paced lifestyle, we find ourselves being on the road more, exploring new places, traveling, telecommuting. With technology, we access information on-the-go, on-demand, less on our desktops, more on tablets and our smartphones. What does this mean for businesses? It challenges us to find new ways to reach, communicate and engage our customers. New ways, which includes mobile marketing.
From July 1 to 2 at The Tent in Enderun, MicKinley Hill, The Mobile Summit Manila 2015 (mobilesummit.ph) will bring together two of the country’s biggest mobile marketing events, the CMO Mobile Summit and Mobile Festival, to tackle the topic of “Mobile-First Generation”
Business owners and brand builders are facing the increasingly difficult challenge of reaching out to consumers effectively across devices. Mobile Summit Manila will address how brands and marketers can better integrate mobile into their strategy as more consumers are now seeing mobile as their primary screen.
On the first day of the event, the CMO Mobile Summit, talks will be geared towards discussing how mobile can take a bigger role in any organization. Topics include mobile ROI, how mobile works in the marketing mix, and CMO-CIO collaboration.
On the second day, Mobile Festival, discussions will focus on mobile executions and tactics for brands, agencies and entrepreneurs. It will revolve around providing brands with practical advice such as how to implement an one channel strategy and how to succeed at being social media savvy on mobile.
Both days will host a start-up exhibit, where marketers and agencies can see firsthand the different innovations in the mobile space.
Key speakers of Mobile Summit Manila include Reynold d’ Silva, FMCG & CPG Head of Facebook APAC; Ari Fadyl, Head of Digital Transformation & Innovation at AXA Indonesia; Simon Torring, Head of Special Projects at Luxola; Michelle Froah, Managing Director at Brandable and Board member at Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) APAC; and Rohit Dadwal, Managing Director of MMA APAC. More speakers will be revealed soon.
“It’s 2015 and some brands are still hesitant to embrace a mobile strategy, despite them seeing that their customers are spending more and more time on mobile, more than any other device. A big part of this is a lack of guidance and local proof of mobile ROI. This is what we’re hoping to address with Mobile Summit Manila, and we hope to gain marketers’ confidence in the channel,” says Arthur Policarpio, Head of Mobext Asia-Pacific and Co-Chair of Mobile Summit Manila.
Hans Roxas-Chua, Co-director of the IIDM Program and Co-Chair of the Mobile Summit Manila, added: “It’s already our third year organizing the country’s top mobile conferences, and we have seen that interest in mobile has increased year on year. This 2015, we’re bringing together two events so we can better address the unique challenges of marketing teams and decision-makers.”
The event is endorsed by the Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA), and is co-organized by leading mobile marketing agency Mobext and the International Institute of Digital Marketing (IIDM).
