Momshare
Moms have incredibly nurturing hearts. We not only desire to share our blessings with the less fortunate, we also want to teach our children and families to give back.
Mommy Mundo provides avenues for such endeavours through MomShare. Initiated in 2008 and officially registered as a non-profit corporation in 2020, it is the mission of MomShare to empower underprivileged moms and their families. Its advocacy revolves around Education, Health, and Relief.
EDUCATION
Since 2015, Mommy Mundo has been working hand in hand with ChildHope Asia and The Kinder Project to support literacy programs for street kids and public school children.
Childhope Asia Philippines
is a non-profit, non-government organization working to promote the welfare of street children.
The funds go to its operational costs and critical program support.
The Kinder Project/Alpabasa,
does its share by empowering public school teachers. It provides training programs and teaching materials to boost the learning experience of students, particularly in reading. The group, composed of teachers and artists, created a unique, bilingual game-based program with teacher-created materials, flashcards, songs, books, and worksheets to energize the classroom learning experience.
Book & Toy Drives
Mommy Mundo believes in the importance of reading and play.
Through MomShare, we run book and toy drive projects to help build libraries in different locations all over the country. We also spearhead school bag donation drives during the start of the school year.
Online Workshops
During the pandemic, we held a series of online workshops for the public school teachers of Quezon City. The activity highlighted the importance of self-care and understanding the different love languages to help teachers improve their relationships. The last session was attended by school principals.
HEALTH
MomShare raises funds to cover the medical expenses of sick kids and babies. It has also supported vaccination drives by coordinating with local government units and its various sponsors.
RELIEF
MomShare strives to be present when its support is needed the most-during times of need and special occasions. Prior to the pandemic, we've organized outreach programs, usually around the holidays, to give joy to children in poor communities. We've also done calamity relief projects when the circumstances called for it.
MomShare projects are primarily funded by the entrance fees of its expo events along with direct donations of cash and kind.
Through the support and generosity of the Mommy Mundo community, we've been able to lend a helping hand to many moms and families in need during the pandemic. We've done this by giving cash and in-kind donations, organizing community projects, and engaging partner benefactors.
