KidZania, the global leader in children’s educational entertainment, is bringing the ultimate role playing experience to the Philippines this 2015. Over 40 of the country’s most respected brands have signed up as KidZania Manila’s Industry Partners to help bring this indoor play city to life. Immersive, interactive role play rooted in real-life activities and establishments is at the core of the KidZania experience. This is where Industry Partners support the experience: with their expertise in their respective industries, these brands help bring realism to the kid-sized city, providing children with truly engaging activities and skills that they can use in real life. Among Kidzania’s Industry Partners are Cebu Pacific, BPI, Purefoods Hormel Company, National Bookstore, and Centro Escolar University.
At KidZania Manila, kids can be anything they want to be, with over 100 role playing activities to choose from. Inside almost 9,000 square meters of play space built just for them, the play city provides kids with the ultimate role playing environment. Through realistic establishments ranging from industrial, retail, cultural, and utility services, kids can experience hands-on what it takes to run a city.
CEU President & Chief Academic Officer Dr. Ma. Cristina D. Padolina said that they are looking forward to creating a role-play community with KidZania Manila that includes an educational institution. “It is good to inculcate among children the value of learning as an investment for the future,” she said.
“Children can look forward to a new chapter of learning with National Book Store at KidZania Manila,” said the bookstore chain’s Managing Director Xandra Ramos-Padilla. “We share the same goal of enriching children’s minds and experiences, and providing them a nurturing environment.”
KidZania Manila also aims to teach kids about the world of work and financial literacy. Here, children are given free rein to roam around and explore, and the freedom to spend, invest and earn KidZos, the official KidZania currency. “BPI is delighted to help teach children how to use money wisely so that as they grow they can help make the best happen for themselves,” said the bank’s President and CEO Cezar P. Consing.
The Department of Tourism, who has partnered with KidZania Manila to build and promote a culture of tourism, also welcomes KidZania to the Philippines.
“More than just a simulation of the real world, it promotes learning through doing and reinforces in them the values of responsibility and discipline early on in life. In a very real sense, KidZania prepares Filipino children to build the Philippines that they will be inheriting in the near future,” said Secretary Ramon Jimenez, Jr.
“We are so psyched up for Purefoods Tender Juicy and Purefoods Nuggets to be a part of this pioneering ‘educational entertainment’ experience for kids. We are committed to the value of ‘learning while having fun’ and will be in partnership with KidZania in making this happen,” said Jose Gabriel Cruz, Purefoods-Hormel Company vice president and category general manager.
Cebu Pacific President and CEO Lance Gokongwei also expressed the airline team’s enthusiasm in being a part of the KidZania experience in Manila. “We are very excited to partner with KidZania to enable kids to fly, even if it’s just through their imagination, and give children their Cebu Pacific boarding pass to a fun learning experience,” Gokongwei said.
A city where kids rule, where they can imagine and actually get to experience what they want to be when they grow up, this is KidZania Manila.
