Summer is indeed upon us and Mommy Mundo provided just the right avenue to jumpstart your children’s #bestsummerever through the recently concluded Expo Kid! Held at The Loft at Manansala, Rockwell, Makati, Expo Kid brought together a number of summer program providers under one roof and provided interactive booths, demos, and talks. The children enjoyed hands-on previews of the different activities being offered:
SparkleLab offers toy making, game design, and 3D printing. They gave kids a glimpse of how to create functional items, including a computer game control, using recycled materials
Party Painters have different arts and crafts classes available. They let the children paint and decorate their own masks in the booth.
Engineering for Kids showed kids how to make their own goo and use a catapult made of items you can find at home – a glimpse of the many things that children can learn from the different summer courses they offer.
Belasco Unlimited Skills Academy is where kids can learn basketball from the pros themselves! They had a basketball ring at their booth where kids had loads of fun shooting hoops!
While the kids were enjoying the activities, moms (and dads!) got to learn from the many inspiring talks and demos:
Interactive storytelling by Analog Mornings. The kids sat, listened, and participated while moms went around to check out the different booths.
Mommy Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan shared practical tips for moms during a special portion from Huggies Philippines.
The Bento Mommas not only had a pop-up store, they also had an Easy Bento demo for moms and kids!
Ready, Steady, Go, Kids! talked about having a sound mind and body for your kids. They also showed sample activities they do in their classes.
CMA did an awesome demo on mental arithmetic.
Hindy Tantoco-Weber of Holy Carabao brought all-organic, chemical-free vegetables to jumpstart your family towards a healthier diet. She also brought along cute bunnies and the kids had a blast feeding them!
Huggies Philippines and FernC gave away prizes at the games. Huggies Philippines also held a dance contest for the children.
There were many other summer programs to choose from! The Learning Library offers reading, Filipino and writing summer programs.
Life by Image Nation offers photography classes for children as young as 8 years old DMC has gone beyond just providing threads for sewing. They now offer a whole range of arts and crafts materials for adults and children.
