AVA, one of the country’s leading online fashion brands, recently came out with a collection honoring the grace and courage of motherhood.
“The modern woman is time-starved,” says Chris Diaz, acclaimed Filipino fashion designer. “She’s busy balancing her professional and personal lives. So those moments with her daughter become even more special.”
He thus created silhouettes that are both flattering and comfortable, adding, “I imagined a mother and her daughter bonding on a weekend afternoon or on a relaxing summer vacation.
The AVA x Chris Diaz Collection features light and playful silhouettes which work well for moms with impeccable style and little lasses with developing tastes. The color palette, which plays around peach, pink, mint, blue, and grey, is befitting the season, giving the clothes a refreshing energy. The matte satin fabric, which feels light and easy, adds to the collection’s summer vibe.
Chris has received recognition from various local and international fashion competitions and holds regular exhibitions at the Manila Fashion Festival.
AVA was named one of the top 100 most promising startups in the world at the 2012 Dublin Web Summit. It is the first Filipino fashion brand to be featured as a case study at Harvard Business School.
