On November 11, 2020 a just-turned eight-year-old boy received the most unique present: a kettcar freshly clad in carefully constructed cardboard boxes to make it look like an F1 racing car. Not just any F1 racing car, but the 2014 Red Bull car driven by Sebastian Vettel. Maximilian Aurich Hupp was so overwhelmed, he closed his eyes, characteristic of some with Autism Spectrum Disorder. His mother, Filipina artist Pamela Gotangco Hupp also felt her heart swell. At last! A birthday present she was certain he loved.

A period of massive learning from sensory development and honing happens from the ages of zero to six.
MomSchool Recap! Conscious Parenting: Helping Siblings Get Along
In Conscious Parenting’s November session, Kit took parents through an important topic: helping siblings get along! Any parent with more than one child knows the ups and downs of sibling rivalry, sibling disagreements, and fights. Many of those who worry the most are the ones who had it the worst, those in constant power struggles with their siblings (some lasting well into adulthood).
Fun Toddler Games for Homeschooling Moms
As most parents in 2020 know, homeschooling can be a challenge, especially if your children are younger and are yet to learn the discipline for school. There is only so much a toddler or early elementary child can take of colouring, letters and writing, basic numbers and math, science, and a second language class. Sometimes both you and your child will need a break from academics and go back to being just parent-and-child instead of parent-also-teacher-and-child, and one great way to do that without losing out on the academics is to play board games!
