Manila, Philippines – June 2026 – This October, sail beyond the reef and discover how far you can go, as Film Concerts PH proudly presents Disney’s Moana Live-to-Film Concert, featuring the film’s acclaimed score and Grammy®-winning soundtrack performed live to the film. Disney’s beloved animated adventure is performed by the 78-member Filharmonika Orchestra, conducted by Gerard Salonga, on October 3–4, 2026, at The Theatre at Solaire.
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Moana” features an inspiring score by Grammy®-winning composer Mark Mancina (Tarzan) and a vibrant soundtrack that gives the film its authentic sound, drawing inspiration from the cultures and rhythms of the Pacific Islands. The film’s rousing music is the collaborative work of Mancina, Emmy®, Grammy®, and Tony®-winning superstar Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), and Opetaia Foa‘i, the composer and founder of Polynesian band Te Vaka. Audiences will hear fan-favorite songs including “You’re Welcome,” “We Know the Way,” and “How Far I’ll Go” (Oscar®-nominated for Best Original Song).
Disney’s “Moana” is a sweeping adventure tale about a spirited and courageous young navigator who sets sail on a daring quest to save her people and her island. During her journey, Moana (Auli‘i Cravalho) meets the mighty demigod Maui (Dwayne Johnson), who guides Moana on her journey to become a master wayfinder – the first in a thousand years from her island. Together they sail the ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering mythic creatures, breathtaking seascapes, and Moana’s own sense of destiny to restore the Heart of Te Fiti, a legendary goddess whose power brings life to the islands of the Pacific.

ABOUT GERARD SALONGA AND THE FILHARMONIKA ORCHESTRA
The Filharmonika Orchestra, affiliated with Film Concerts PH, is a Manila-based ensemble founded in 2005 by conductor Gerard Salonga and revived in 2024 after a decade-long hiatus. Many of its musicians hail from the former ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra, which Salonga led until 2020.
Salonga is currently Resident Conductor of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra and has previously served as Assistant Conductor of the Hong Kong Philharmonic (2016–2018), Music Director of the ABS-CBN Philharmonic (2012–2020), and, since 2021, Music Director of the Orchestra of the Filipino Youth (OFY).
