We’ve all heard the saying: if you can dream it, you can achieve it. Manifestation is similar. While it says: if you can dream it, it will happen. Not that it asks you to sit back, relax, and do nothing, rather it asks you to genuinely believe that everything you do will lead to that which you are dreaming and genuinely believe that you deserve to have that dream because it is meant for you.
A lot to take in? Manifestation Coach, Bryson Bonsol, admits that manifestation can be a challenging practice for some because people focus too much on the “process” and not on the “result” or the desired outcome. Most of us think that in order for us to manifest our desires, we should “struggle” first and go through some painful experiences. While there is so much value in hard work, in the manifestation world, manifesting should be fun and easy.
Most people focus on the typical or well known techniques of manifestation (ex. creating a vision board) without giving focus to the important aspects of the practice, which move along the lines of removing any form of doubt and negative energy from the process. Negative energy, doubt, and attachment can keep us from properly manifesting. So no matter how many vision boards you create, you may be waiting for naught.
To manifest, Bryson recommends following these steps:
ONE: ASK
The first step of manifestation is to ask. This can be done by setting intentions, by visualising what it is you want (here is where the vision boards come in), or by taking advantage of Neville Goddard’s SATS (Sleep Akin to Sleep). Visualising that you already have that which you desire right before sleeping, helps your body adjust its frequency and vibration to a state where it is open and ready to receiving and subconsciously working for that exact desire.
It is important to note that in the asking process, when one visualises, one needs to see themselves as already possessing or being that which they are trying to manifest. This is called “being in the State of the Wish Fulfilled.” This is because the second part of the asking process is affirming that you deserve this.
TWO: BELIEVE
That affirmation leads right to the second step, which is to believe. A genuine belief that you deserve that which you desire will help adjust everything you do towards it. Affirming and believing that you already have it–”It is yours,” says Bryson. “It is on it’s way to you, but it is already yours, so own it!”–is one of the most powerful steps of manifestation. This belief MUST be genuine. “It is done.”
THREE: RECEIVE
Whether or not it has already happened, receive the gift of the object or occurrence. Because you believe it is already yours, receive it! “Be aware of your “state of mind.” Where are you operating most of the time? Are you in the state of abundance or in the state of lack? You will know that you are in the “state of lack” if you feel that what you are desiring is “not yet yours.”
FOUR: GRATITUDE
Next is step four: feel good about the blessings you have. What you focus on grows. What you focus on multiplies. What you focus on expands. When you are grateful, you allow more good things to flow to you. Gratitude is a powerful magnifier and amplifier of blessings! Expressing gratitude will immediately shift you to the “state of abundance.” It is easier to manifest when you have a grateful heart because gratitude will transform you to become a magnet for blessings.
FIVE: SURRENDER
Lastly, whether or not you’ve manifested your desire, feel good. Be grateful and then surrender and let go. “When you are too attached to an object, you are in the state of lack, which means you see the object still as something you want,” explains Bryson. By seeing the object as a desire your body will operate as if it is something to be desired, and that can lead to a failure in manifestation. However, when you are detached from the object or occurrence because you believe that it is already yours, then your body operates as if it is something you have, and that leads to successful manifestation.
Though it sounds simple enough, proper manifestation takes a great deal of mindfulness. It takes a lot of being present in the present, of focusing on the positive, of minding the quality of your thoughts, feelings and conversations, and being careful about what you say. This last point is particularly important because you may end up manifesting something you don’t desire or manifesting the wrong thing!
As Bryson puts in an example, “When you say: ‘I don’t want to be sick.’ You might actually be sending the signal that you want to be sick. Because the word ‘don’t’ is tricky. Try to phrase everything positively, specifically, and concretely like, ‘I am happy and healthy. All is well with me. I am awesome and I feel great.’” The phrasing tells you, your brain, and your body, exactly what it is you desire and you will soon be working towards living a happy and healthy life!
When you learn the art of manifestation, Bryson promises that you will lead a very happy and fulfilled life. As in all successful endeavours, consistency is key! Topped with genuine belief, of course.
