One of the biggest buzzwords of 2020 has been “vaccine.” With the hunt for a successful and effective vaccine that can bring the herd immunity needed to combat the novel coronavirus or COVID-19, more people are becoming aware of the importance of vaccinations and keep up to date with them.
For many, vaccines are just what babies and toddlers need. After that, it becomes out-of-mind. To respond to this, Mommy Mundo teamed up with Sanofi-Pasteur to bring a three-part event series on vaccinations, aiming to shed light and raise awareness on why vaccines should be a part of a person’s yearly habits.
In the first part of the series, Toddler & School Aged Vaccination, Sanofi focused on the common vaccines needed by infants and toddlers, and helped mothers track their children’s vaccines all the way through the booster shots. Many children have missed their vaccine schedules due to quarantine restrictions, and Sanofi readily answered questions on catch-up vaccination schedules and other infant and toddler concerns surrounding illnesses and vaccinations.
Part two focused on Adult Vaccines. Knowing that so many adults tend to forget about vaccines, the webinar shed light on the different vaccinations actually available to adults. From the HPV vaccine for women to the yearly flu vaccination, there are a host of vaccines recommended for adults, booster shots included!
Last, but not least, are the vaccines for the furry members of the family. Making sure pets are up to date with their own vaccinations can help keep the rest of the family safe from them as well. Sanofi explained that being a responsible furent means being a responsible parent.
Staying on top of vaccinations is no longer just a responsibility to family members, but it is a responsibility to the world. As society deals with the deadliest global health crisis of the past century, eyes have opened to the wonders of medical science and to how vital one small injection can be in changing the world.
