MOM SCHOOL: BABY SIGNS AND TODDLER 101
It’s all about babies and toddlers for Momschool 3.0 as our resident experts give the lowdown on how to best care and communicate with our children.
Jaymie Pizarro will start off the morning with a workshop on Baby Sign. The pioneer of baby sign language in the Philippines, Jaymie is a US-certified Baby Sign Language instructor who has been sharing the magic of baby sign language to hundreds of parents, teachers, doctors, and midwives from all over the country since 2004.
Baby Sign helps parents build their little ones’ communication skills, giving them the foundation for accelerated learning and promoting stronger bonds. It also eases frustration, a natural result of miscommunication and misunderstanding, on the part of both the baby and the parent.
After learning about how best to communicate with babies, our Momschool session moves on to Toddler 101 with Teacher Tina Zamora. An expert in the field of early childhood education and the progressive stream of education, Teacher Tina is the directress of Nest School for Whole Child Development. It is a progressive school offering preschool and elementary education founded in 2001.
For Toddler 101, Teacher Tina will speak on the importance of routines and transitions for toddlers in order to build a child’s time management and organizational skills. She will also give pointers on how to help develop the socio-emotional domain of the toddler in order to make those terrible two’s easier for the family.
Momschool happens on July 29, 2017, from 9AM to 12NN, at the Makati Diamond Service Residences.
